ArtPORT LA is a sculpture park that provides an anchor for civic art at the Port of Los Angeles through artworks at scale, immersive exhibitions and arts education themed around the ocean and natural environment.
Draft site plan for future development includes gallery and event venue, outdoor education and fabrication spaces, and a community garden.
We connect and leverage public and private resources to have more impact at the civic scale.
ArtPort LA’s sculpture program will engage local, regional, national and global artists throughout the Port of Los Angeles.
The inaugural piece will be installed at 22nd Street park in 2025.
Up to 20 works, including several from existing institutional collections, will be exhibited by 2028.
At our adjacent campus facilities, K-12 students will receive STEAM programming through hands-on opportunities to create 3D art using materials commonly found at the Port.
Our immersive digital venue, TheSHELL, will present art, ideas and technology programming for visitors to engage with environmental challenges and influence solutions.
